The evidence
It found you when you
were still a child.
Nobody sits down at twelve years old and chooses this. An industry with a budget got there first, and it has been refining its approach ever since. Here is what the research says — all of it published, named, and linked, so you can check every line.
How early it starts
These are US teenagers surveyed in 2022 — children who grew up with a phone in their hand.
the average age a child first sees pornography
first saw it at ten years old or younger
came across it by accident — they were not looking for it
of teens aged 13 to 17 have seen it online
Source: Common Sense Media, Teens and Pornography (2023) — 1,358 US teenagers aged 13 to 17.
And it did not start with phones. Plenty of people reading this were younger than twelve, on a family desktop in the corner of a room, years before anyone carried the internet in their pocket. The technology got faster and the age stayed low. What changed is that it no longer has to be looked for — nearly six in ten of those teenagers were not searching for anything.
What the brain research
actually shows
The most cited study in this area scanned 64 men aged 21 to 45 and compared their brains against how many hours a week they reported watching. Two findings came out of it.
- More hours went with a smaller reward centre. Men who reported watching more had less grey matter in the right caudate — part of the striatum, the region that handles reward and motivation.
- The line between wanting and deciding was quieter. Connectivity between that reward region and the prefrontal cortex — the part that weighs consequences and says no — was weaker in the heavier viewers.
Kühn & Gallinat, JAMA Psychiatry (2014).
What that study does not prove
It was a snapshot, not a film. Everyone was scanned once, so it cannot tell you which came first. Heavy use may reshape the reward system — or men whose reward systems were already quieter may go looking for stronger signals. The research cannot currently separate the two, and any site telling you the science is settled on brain damage is going further than the evidence does.
We will not overstate it to frighten you into paying us. What you already know without a scanner is enough: it takes more now than it used to, and it holds you longer than you meant to stay. That much you can feel.
And the other one
Gambling gets talked about as a hobby with a downside. The register data does not read like a hobby.
the rate of death by suicide among people diagnosed with gambling disorder, against the general population
Karlsson & Håkansson, 2018 — Swedish national register, ages 20–74
of 11- to 24-year-olds had seen NO gambling advertising in the past month. Which is to say: almost every child had.
Ipsos MORI for GambleAware, 2020 — UK
of those children saw gambling promoted in their own social feeds
Ipsos MORI for GambleAware, 2020 — UK
Note what the second and third numbers describe. Not adults choosing a bookmaker — children, in their own feeds, being advertised to at an age when they cannot legally place a bet. The exposure is deliberate and it is bought. This is the riba economy reaching your sons before you do.
Why we put this in front of you
Not so you feel disgusting. You have tried that road already — most people in this fight have spent years on it, and shame has never once been the thing that stopped them. It is closer to the fuel.
The numbers are here for one reason: so you can put down the idea that this is a defect in you. It was engineered, it was aimed at children, and it was funded. You were outmatched, and being outmatched by a machine is not a moral failure. Allah knows what you were up against better than you do.
What comes next is not more willpower. It is taking the machine out of the fight — and that part costs nothing.
What this page does not prove
Everything above is evidence that the problem is real and engineered. None of it is evidence that NurGuard fixes it. Those are two different claims and we are not going to blur them.
We have no outcome study, no success rate, and no testimonials we can verify — so we publish none. What we can tell you is exactly what the product does: a blocked domain does not resolve, the Niyyah Gate puts a pause where a reflex was, and the lessons are thirty days of Quran, Sunnah and practice you can read a sample of before paying. Whether that works for you is between you and Allah, and you get to test it for free.
If we ever publish a number about recovery, it will arrive with its method, its sample and its limits attached — the same standard we just held these studies to.
No card, no trial. Or take the 2-minute check first.
