Digital discipline for the modern Muslim
Guard your Nur.
Win your day. Win at life.
A filter guards the door. It doesn't change who's standing at it — which is why the last one didn't hold. NurGuard is both: a shield that stays on, and the daily work willpower alone was never going to do. Tap an app on the phone to see it.
Plainly: a free content blocker for porn, gambling and the apps that eat your night — plus an optional Islamic recovery program for Muslims who want more than a blocker.
Create your account → install the app → choose what to guard. About five minutes, and no card at any point.
- The shield is free
- No card, no trial
- iPhone and Android
- Plus Chrome on desktop
- $33/mo membership
- Optional · 14-day money-back
What we can see — and what we can't
To refuse a site, the filter has to check the address your device asks for. That is the one thing we see — and we never write it down. No URLs, no domain names, no browsing history, not on our servers and not on your device.
What we do keep is a daily tally: how many blocks, how many overrides, time saved, and which categories were involved. Counts, never sites — and they are deleted after a year.
No ads, no advertising trackers, and nothing sold. We use one anonymised product-analytics tool to see which screens and features get used; your browsing, the addresses you ask for, and anything the filter sees never enter it. If you invite an accountability partner, they see those same totals — never a site, never a page.

What's free, and what isn't
The protection costs nothing and always will. Membership buys the program that comes after it — never the shield itself.

Everyone on either side of that line is a NurGuardian — it is what we call each other here, and the free column is enough to be one. You guard your own light; that is the whole qualification.
No ads and no advertising trackers on either side, and we never see the pages you visit — product analytics are anonymised and never touch your browsing. Membership carries a 14-day money-back guarantee — and if you take it, your shield stays on.
We built NurGuard so no one fights this alone — a shield over every screen, a path back to your Lord, and an ummah that prospers when you heal — never when you relapse.
The cost of the scroll
It was built to be hard
to put down.
The feed isn't neutral. It's tuned by teams of engineers to hold your attention as long as possible. This isn't about weak willpower — it's about what that design quietly takes.
a day the average person reaches for their phone

NurGuard doesn't ask you to out-willpower a machine. It takes the machine out of the fight — the haram stops loading, and the endless scroll loses its grip.
What it covers, and what it doesn't
You have been promised a shield before. So here is the whole map before you install anything — where it runs, what it takes to set up, and the places it genuinely cannot reach.
iPhone and Android
Every app and every browser on the phone
The app runs the filter itself, so a blocked site never resolves — in every app and browser on the phone. The Niyyah Gate and your sacred hours run here too.
Install, sign in, approve the filter permission once.
Windows, Mac, and Linux
Chrome and Edge — the browser you install it in
The extension blocks the same categories inside that browser. It is not system-wide: another browser, or anything outside the browser, isn’t covered.
Install it in each browser you want guarded.
Home router
Not supported yet
We removed the hand-configured DNS setup because it failed quietly — a browser doing its own encrypted DNS walked straight through, and you’d never know. Better to ship nothing than something that looks like protection.
Guard each phone with the app in the meantime.
What no filter can do
- A determined adult can switch this off — no software prevents that. What NurGuard does is make it loud: when the filter goes silent, tamper detection raises the alarm within hours, and your partner sees it in the weekly report. It can’t stay quiet for long.
- The block works on domains, not on what’s inside a page. A blocked site never loads; a permitted site that later hosts something haram isn’t something a filter can catch for you.
- Delete the app and the protection goes with it. That is exactly what the tamper alert is for.
This is the reason the membership exists at all. A filter guards the door — the rest of NurGuard is for whoever is standing at it. More in the FAQ.
The shield + the path
Everything the fight needs, in one place
Not another streak tracker. Blocking, healing, and accountability — built as one system, the way the struggle actually works.
Pause. Breathe.
What do you actually need right now?
Niyyah Gate
You choose which apps get the gate and how long the pause lasts. Opening them takes a breath and an intention — a moment of weakness meets a moment of remembrance. The haram itself never gets that choice; it is blocked outright.
explicit-site.com
Blocked before it ever loaded
Blocks the network, not just the app
Most blockers lock an app and leave the browser wide open. On your phone NurGuard filters the network itself, so a blocked site never resolves — in every app and every browser on it.
SubhanAllah
Urge toolkit
Dhikr counter, guided breathing, Quran — an action to reach for instead of a browser.
Best streak — your masjid is rising
Streaks & your masjid
Your recovery, visible. A masjid that rises with every clean day.
Weekly report → Ahmad
your accountability partner
Accountability partners
Anonymous weekly reports to a friend, spouse, or mentor you choose.
One tap. Maximum protection until the wave passes.
Panic mode
For the worst moments — everything locks until you are safe.
Protection deepens at the hours that matter
Sacred hours
Deeper protection during prayer times and the hours you fall.
Your phone, and your browser
The app guards iPhone and Android system-wide; the extension guards Chrome and Edge on your desktop. No device limit — sign in wherever you need it.
The shield stops the page.
The membership is the moment after it.
Blocking is the floor, not the plan. It stops the haram from loading; it doesn't touch the reason you went looking. Here is the part that does — not a feature list, the actual thirty days.
A lesson a day, for thirty days
Ten minutes each morning, in order, building on the one before it. Quran and Sunnah alongside what is actually known about the habit — written for someone in the middle of it, not about them.
Something to do at 1am
The shield stops the page from loading. This is for the ninety seconds afterwards, when the wanting is still there and the night has to be got through somehow.
Your own pattern, drawn out
Every urge you log and every day you hold, over weeks — which hours are yours and which are not, and slow evidence that it is moving.
Where it takes you
Every title below is a lesson that exists today. Each week is about something different, and week two is deliberately the hardest — it is the week the habit fights back, and being told that in advance is most of what gets a person through it.
Days 1–7
What is actually happening in your head, and the first practices that interrupt it.
- Why You're Here
- Your Brain on Porn
- The Wudu Reset
Ends on “Week 1 Reflection”
Days 8–14
The week the habit fights back — late nights, shame, and what to put in the gap it leaves.
- Replacing the Habit
- The Late Night Battle
- The Shame Trap
Ends on “Week 2 Reflection”
Days 15–21
Moving from not-doing to becoming — identity, company, and the empty hours.
- A New Identity
- The Empty Hours
- Dua Is Your Weapon
Ends on “Week 3 Reflection”
Days 22–30
What to do the day it goes wrong, and how a man who has walked it helps the next one.
- When You Slip
- Become the Helper
- The Long Road
Ends on “Graduation: Your New Beginning”
Day 3, in full
A real lesson, not a mock-up
The Power of Istighfar
The Prophet ﷺ used to make istighfar over 70 times a day — and he was free of sin!
"Ask forgiveness from your Lord; indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send rain to you in abundance, and give you increase in wealth and children." — Quran 71:10-12
Today's action
Set 3 alarms today: morning, afternoon, evening. At each alarm, say "Astaghfirullah" 33 times. Notice how you feel before and after.
Twenty-nine more like it. Every one ends with something to go and do, because reading about it is not the part that changes anything.
When it hits, you open this
Four things, one tap from wherever you are:
- Dhikr mode — SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar — 33 each, counted
- Breathe — Guided 4-7-8 breathing
- Quran reminder — An ayah on patience and repentance
- Make wudu — Water extinguishes fire — go now
An urge is logged whether it passed or it didn't, and both count the same. There is no scoreboard here that a bad night resets.
After a few weeks, it tells you something
Which hours the urges land in, what tends to set them off, how often they passed. Not a grade — a map of the specific fight you are in, which is different from the next man's.
It won't name a pattern off one bad night. Three logged moments minimum before it says a word about when you are weakest — we would rather tell you nothing than tell you something we made up.
What comes back is mostly time — the hours the scroll and the relapse were taking are simply yours again, and that part is arithmetic rather than hope. The rest is what people tend to report as the habit loosens: sleep, presence with the people in the room, and a quieter heart standing in salah. We won't promise you those. Everyone's road is their own, and Allah decides what it holds.
Your shield runs either way, and so do your streak, your partner, and your household — those are yours in the app whether you ever pay us or not. Nobody here loses ground over money. The membership is the three things above: the lessons, the toolkit, and the pattern.
One more thing, said quietly because it is not why you should join: members can also be paid to carry this. 30% of every payment from anyone who joins through your link, for as long as they stay — after a free course and a certification on how to talk about it honestly, which is open to you whether you pay or not. If you would never refer a soul, the membership has to be worth it anyway. That is the standard we hold it to. How earning works
Why it costs anything at all
Nobody should have to pay to be safe, so the shield is free and stays that way. But the road after it asks something of you — and putting money on the line is one of the few things that reliably keeps a person showing up in week three, when it stops being new and starts being work.
And you should know exactly where it goes. 40% of every payment goes straight back to another Muslim and to a masjid.
To whoever brought you
Whoever sent you here earns this every month you stay — not a one-time bounty. If nobody referred you, it stays in the reserve below.
Set aside for building masajid
Held in the Sadaqah Reserve from every payment you ever make, tracked on its own ledger. Refunded money is reversed out of it — we never count a dirham that came back.
Builds the thing
Servers, the network filter running on every protected phone and browser, payment processing, and the work of making it. This is the part that keeps the shield free for whoever can’t pay.
We never buy an ad. That's where your money went.
Every app that fights what this one fights spends most of what you pay it on being seen — Meta, TikTok, and creators paid to describe a struggle they may never have had. That money buys attention from the same companies selling it.
We don't run ads. We don't pay anyone for reach. So the 30% that would have been an ad goes to whoever actually sat with you and told you the truth — and they only earn it if you subscribe and stay, and they tell you they earn it every single time. Another 10% is set aside before anyone is paid.
And there are no ads inside NurGuard. Not now, not at a million members. An app built to take back your attention cannot be funded by selling it — so your money is the only thing paying for this, and you're the only one it answers to.
None of this is a test of how serious you are — your sincerity is between you and Allah, not something a card charge measures. If it isn't helping, take the 14-day refund and keep your shield. And if the money genuinely isn't there, earn your membership instead — nobody is turned away from this.
